The Caucasus Muslims’ Board and the Turkic Academy Discussed Prospects for Cooperation

Today, 29 July, a meeting was held in Baku between Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh and President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev.

During the meeting, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh shared information on the scientific and practical activities carried out by the Caucasus Muslims’ Board. In turn, Shahin Mustafayev presented the main areas of the Turkic Academy’s work, highlighted its ongoing international scientific projects, and outlined key achievements in the Academy’s publishing activities.

The sides discussed prospects for further cooperation and expressed mutual interest in implementing joint scientific and cultural projects and initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting the shared historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.

At the end of the meeting, as a gesture of respect and in recognition of the friendly relations, Mustafayev presented Pashazadeh with the publication “The First Karakhanid Quran,” prepared and published by the Turkic Academy. The edition represents one of the earliest translations of the Quran into the Turkic language dating back to the Karakhanid period.
