An International Roundtable on Kazakhstan’s New Constitutional Model Held in Astana

Today, on March 17, an international expert roundtable was held in Astana on the topic “Kazakhstan’s New Constitutional Model: Towards a Resilient and Modern State.” The event was organized by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KISI) under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Maksut Narikbayev University.

The roundtable brought together Vice-President of the Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev, Deputy Chair of the Board of Maksut Narikbayev University Sergey Pen, KISI Director Zhandos Shaimardanov, as well as international experts.

Participants discussed key issues including Kazakhstan’s political and economic transformations, institutional modernization, human capital development, new mechanisms for protecting human rights, public perception of reforms, and international experience in conducting constitutional referendums.

The roundtable served as an important platform for exchanging views and discussing strategic directions for the country’s constitutional development.
