President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev, took part in the official ceremony dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). The jubilee event, held in Baku, brought together leading representatives of academic and scientific institutions from more than fifteen countries.
Among the participants were the heads of the national academies of sciences of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Georgia, and Montenegro, as well as representatives of international scientific organizations, including UNESCO, the International Science Council (ISC), the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA), and the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia.
In his address, Shahin Mustafayev congratulated the leadership, members, and scholars of ANAS on the anniversary, emphasizing that the Academy stands not only as the intellectual center of Azerbaijan but also as an important member of the international scientific community. He noted that the 80-year history of ANAS reflects the intellectual wealth of the Azerbaijani people and their contribution to the development of science and culture across the Turkic world.
President of the Turkic Academy expressed confidence that the partnership between ANAS and the Turkic Academy will continue to strengthen, creating new opportunities for joint research, innovation, and educational initiatives.
