New Opportunities for Cooperation in the Turkic World Discussed in Astana

A panel discussion titled “Dialogues of the Turkic World: Common Future, Common Vision” was held in Astana by the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye ahead of the 13th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), scheduled to take place in Ankara on October 29–30, 2026.

The event brought together representatives of government and academic circles from Kazakhstan and Türkiye, as well as experts and researchers, including Bülent Bayram, Vice President of the Turkic Academy.

Participants discussed prospects for cooperation among the Turkic states and the role of the OTS amid a changing global order. Key topics included common history and cultural heritage, the Common Turkic Alphabet, communications, digitalization and artificial intelligence, as well as opportunities to further strengthen ties among the countries of the Turkic World.
