Discussing the Prospects of Scientific Cooperation between the Turkic Academy and Pakistan

Today, during his working visit to Islamabad, the Vice President of the Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev, met with the Additional Foreign Secretary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Syed Ali Asad Gillani.

During the meeting, Askhat Kessikbayev conveyed warm regards on behalf of the Academy's President, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev and provided a detailed overview of the Turkic Academy's activities, its strategic mission and efforts to promote scientific integration in the Turkic world. Vice President informed the Additional Foreign Secretary about ongoing international projects, existing scientific platforms and large-scale events organized by the Academy.

In the course of the discussion, Askhat Kessikbayev highlighted the historical and cultural ties between Pakistan and the Turkic states, which trace back to the times of the Ghaznavid and Baburid empires. He emphasized that these common historical roots are reflected in the textbooks on Turkic history, literature and geography published by the Academy, as well as in new scientific initiatives that are currently under preparation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Askhat Kessikbayev stressed that the primary goal of his visit was to strengthen friendly and scientific relations with Pakistan.

In turn, Mr. Syed Ali Asad Gillani expressed sincere interest in the activities of the Turkic Academy and confirmed the readiness of Pakistan's scientific community to establish close cooperation with the Academy.
